Looking to switch energy?

If you’re struggling to pay your energy bills, don’t lose hope. There are government and community-based organizations that can help you get back on your feet. Here are some important things to keep in mind in terms of assistance eligibility:

  1. Assistance is typically offered on a one-time basis and is not a long-term solution.
  2. Different organizations cater to specific communities and have different focuses, so be sure to research the organizations that are available in your area.
  3. To be eligible for assistance, you usually have to be the account holder of the utility service.
  4. Some organizations may require you to have received a disconnection notice before they can provide you with assistance.
  5. Requirements and availability of assistance may vary based on where you live and the organization you’re seeking help from.

With a bit of research and effort, you may be able to find a solution that can help you get back on track. You may also visit the ucahelps website for a more comprehensive list
